šŸ‘‹ Hi, Iā€™m Sarah.

I am a mixed methods UX researcher at Answerlab living in Orange County, California šŸŠ

With 7+ years experience, here are a few things that makes me stand out as a researcher:

  • Unlike many other peers in UX research, I have a background in both informatics and design that enables me to communicate and collaborate with different stakeholders in a language that resonates with their needs.

  • I believe that a good research team is only as good as their process. I am always looking for ways to make the team user research process more efficient by identifying gaps, establishing templatized workflows, and conducting upskilling where possible to make them a cornerstone resource in product teams.

  • I believe that our social worlds are interconnected and evolving networks. This perspective shapes my approach to data: I constantly explore new ways to analyze existing information, leveraging connections between studies to deepen insights or add context to past findings.

  • I believe that UX benchmarking, heuristic evaluations, service blueprints and journey maps can help teams create better information architecture, reduce potential bottlenecks and create a more holistic experience for users.

In the meantime, Iā€™m developing public research resources on this site to showcase my process and support team understanding.
